INTRODUCTION
Zsanett Ésik
My name is Zsanett Ésik, and I am a contemporary visual artist whose work is defined by a sensitivity to deep emotional layers and social issues. In my art, I explore the tension between the inner world and the outside reality, focusing on themes such as female identity, body image, and memory—often blending traditional and experimental techniques. Material use and layering play an essential role in my creations—not only visually, but also in terms of meaning. For me, art is not merely a form of self-expression but also a way to initiate social dialogue. Participating in the contemporary art competition in Venice presents an opportunity for me to showcase my artistic vision in an international context and to gain new perspectives. My goal is to raise questions and spark conversations through my work—whether about the viewer’s inner world or our shared social reality. I believe that art has the power to shape thought and connect people who might otherwise never meet. It is in this spirit that I wish to take part in the competition and contribute to the diverse dialogue of contemporary art.
